Baby Boy Johnson Update

Well - It could very well be only 1 month left until we meet Baby Boy Johnson! Last week my Dr. informed me that the baby is measuring more towards a 1st of April due date. I was surprised because they had already scheduled me for an April 14th C-Section with the hospital. He wants me to come in March 30th for an ultrasound to see if the baby is mature and if so - we could have the baby early. We are extremely excited but I am more confused everyday on what week I am (since my original due date was April 27th!) Anyways, the Dr. believes we either miscalculated the due date from the beginning or he is just big. He estimates that if we go "to term" that he could be 9 + pounds. Crazy!!!! Oh yeah - no name yet - I left that pressure up to Tyler. I can't wait to hear what he comes up with. He is really good with names - maybe Jamal? J/K. Below are a few pictures of the baby room that isn't quite finished yet and Cameryn's room - she REALLY wanted to show it off.

Go Texan Day!

It's Go Texan Day in the Johnson household today! Cameryn & Daddy dressed in their very best Cowboy and Cowgirl gear to celebrate Go Texan Day at School & the first day of the Rodeo BBQ Cook-Off. Daddy will represent the Johnson's this year since there is no way that Mommy would make it! Too tired and too big!
Cameryn's hero!

Bottom's up to show off the bow on Cameryn's skirt and her 1st pair of authentic cowgirl boots. Mommy is the only one who doesn't have true cowgirl boots now!

Ms. Evelyn and Cameryn at school. Her favorite teacher made cute bandanna's for the kiddos to wear with their name embroidered on it and their painted hand print. She also made feathers to go around her cowgirl hat. Yee Haw!

"Tally Ho! Let's Go!" was the saying for the day when Cameryn was finished with snack and ready to take on the world. "Y'all come back now - ya hear!"

Last but not least. . .

A few words to remember from Cameryn:
  1. "Daddy, we don't say Sh*T" (after a slip on the drive to Nebraska for Thanksgiving.)
  2. "What, I cleaned it up" (while standing pants down in the shower after doing #2, and applying lip gloss with poopy hands - long story)
  3. "Not Wiseman, mommy, I am a WiseGIRL!" (after refusing to be Mary and dressing up as one of the wisemen in the Christmas play)
  4. "You hurt my heart, mommy, my heart is breaking" (her new tactic when she gets in trouble)
  5. "Itsgusting!" (while watching her volcano explode at a birthday party)

Cameryn & Larin Frazier - buddies for life!
Nebraska Best Friends - Nikki, Cale & Larin, Lauren & Cameryn, Julie & Henry,
Joseph, Thomas & Staci. We miss y'all!

New Years with the Mckernans

The Sunday after Christmas The Mckernan's decided to take the long road trip to Houston from Omaha. Brian swore about 8 years ago that he would never take the trip again. We were super excited to have them come and visit and now that his brother lives in Dallas - they could break up the trip. I think they would even try it again, it went that well!

Staci and I at the Rocket's game.
Papa, Mimi, Cameryn & Lauren, Thomas, Staci & Brian at their favorite Houston mexican restaurant - Pappasitos.

My New Years kiss at midnight. Our version of romantic!

The sober ones on New Years Eve. Yes - we know how to party!

Thank You Secret Santa!

Uggs! Just what I wanted for Christmas! I know, they are ugly and way too expensive but I don't care. After 2 years of wearing cheap knock offs that just don't feel the same, I am ready to take the plunge. (Especially since I couldn't think of what to ask my Secret Santa for - and that I can't fit into any clothes since I am prego.) I wear the knock offs all the time, so I know I would get wear out Uggs and my money's worth.

Secret Santa with the Hampton's is a tradition we started with the grown ups in our immediate family, about 4 years ago. We draw names, secretly, around Thanksgiving, and no one knows who anyone has. Everyone sends via email their list of 5-10 items that they want within the price range.

The 1st year that we played the game, my sister Bethany opened her package and revealed a special electric ice scraper (one that you can plug in and it heats up). Hmmmmm...did I ask for this, she thought? What a neat invention. Only to find in a taped envelope that included directions for use - a gift card to her favorite store. Now she had to guess who her Secret Santa was - - of course it was Dad.

Now everyone wants Dad. He has given fake College National Championship tickets (that look like the real thing) Wind chimes made out of old vintage tools, and the most recent, fake grilling tools.

My Secret Santa (Kyle) brought a new twist to the game - he sent me on a scavenger hunt, in search of my gift. The picture above has the clues to what led me to a tiny Ugg boot on the tree that I had given Berkeley. Yay! He gave me money to buy my Uggs and I love them. Thanks Santa!

More from Christmas Eve. . .

I love you Daddy!

Berkeley & Mimi. Eventhough Berkeley had a tummy ache, she still hung in there like a champ!

Christmas PJ's always come with Christmas socks. At least Cameryn's didn't have bells on hers :)

When you are 3 you get to be Santa. Opening gifts was sure to last a long time with Brady & Cameryn as Santa.

On your mark, get set, GO!

What we have been up to since Thanksgiving. . .

Christmas Eve at Mimi's & Papa's House

Santa brought Cameryn her 1st camera - Hello Kitty. She was our little photographer getting ready for when baby comes.

Mimi started a new tradition reading "Twas the night before Christmas" and the real Christmas Story. Cameryn & Brady loved it.

Mimi brought out our old Gingerbread sleeping bags that Grandma Gia made for Bethany and I when we were little. Brady and Cameryn slept in them all night. They each had their own.

Berkeley enjoyed her 1st Christmas with us, eating Magic Stars and watching the kiddos run around like crazy people.

Mimi's annual Christmas PJ's exchange. Cameryn loved hers! (so did mommy) Thanks Mimi!
