Big Sister Class

Sunday afternoon Cameryn finally got to attend her "Big Sister" class at the hospital. Down to the wire, she wanted to make sure she knew everything she needed to know about being a Big Sis.

She practiced changing baby's diaper. . .

Swaddling the baby with Nurse Christie . . .

And listened to a story about being a big sister.

She even took a tour with mommy & daddy to see where baby brother would be born. Mommy loved this part the best! Cameryn was excited to "go on a hunt for all the babies" and shared with the group when asked if we had any questions, "that she would be with Mimi and Papa when baby was born." I don't know what she is excited for the most - all the cool things she will get to do when we are at the hospital or meeting baby brother.

We are so proud of our big sister to be!

"Build A Bear", (or Frog) for Baby. . .

We are getting down to the last month and Cameryn is SUPER excited to be a BIG SISTER. Friday we went to the mall and I decided to drop into Build-A-Bear for the 1st time. One of my friends at bible study gave me the idea to have Cameryn make a very special bear - just from her - to give to baby when he is born. I loved the idea and knew Cam would love it too.

So - the 1st thing you do is pick your favorite stuffed animal type - I call it the "skin". Given that it was Build-A-Bear, I assumed Cameryn would pick a bear. But - I should have known she would go against the grain - she chose a bright green FROG. He was pretty cute!

The next step is to pick out his Heart.

Stuff the animal - she got to do this all by herself. . .

Love on the froggy's heart. . .

And give it a big KISS for baby. That way, when she gives the froggy to baby, he will have all of Cameryn's love already.

One of the last things Cameryn did was give froggy a bath and then make a birth certificate for him. She named him Carlin. (You've got to love her choice of names) Now he is waiting in his little Build-A-Bear house with an Astros T-shirt on, for the day baby is born. Cameryn can't wait to give Carlin to baby.
